I watched Bones as it was coming out and re-watched the first several seasons on dvd while it was still airing, then kind of forgot about it completely for the next decade. I'm watching/listening to 6-7 hours of it a day right now while I work and I'm realizing just how influential this show was for me as a kid. I distinctly remember being like 14 and telling the other kids at my youth group, with absolute confidence the likes of which I had never previously experienced, that "I'm just socially awkward!" because of Bones.>examples of unconditional respect and love before/beyond a romantic expectation>characters who came from low-income and abusive backgrounds (like me) but still became highly educated, successful and loved>taught me a lot of biology ngl i remember what a fucking proximal metatarsal joint is>absolutely un-matched chemistry between the two leads which never falters over 12 seasons

Real sad shit but also another example of a really well-executed representation of the kind of delayed emotional processing autists like Temperance actually experience. I never watched that Good Doctor slow but it looked like slop.
