10 years on did it filter you?
>>221368448>10 years agoHoly shit we're all going to die and there's nothing we can do to stop it
>>221368517At least we got a college degree and a family since then, right anon?
>>221368448I did like it. Couldn't watch it when it was released bc kids were still too young and couldn't be away from home that much. I eventually watched with them and they liked it too and we watched it together. All is well.
>>221368448It did the opposite for me. It served as a primer for all the visual symbolism I’d missed in MoS. By that, I mean I finally understood what the stuff I’d already picked up on was there to convey, and that there was even more that I hadn’t even noticed. It’s fucking extraordinary.
>>221368448>10 years on did it filter you?Yes
>>221368448Nah I liked it at the time. It's still got dumb genre trappings so it's not exactly high art, but the sheer balls on Snyder and his team to make this superhero mashup a weird exploration of power and humanity with tons of symbolism and motifs running through it.Visually, the stuff that's not the superheroes fighting is incredible. Like the opening scene that fully establishes Bruce's character in a few minutes, it's nuts. The pearls on his mom's necklace being scattered by the gunshot representing how the order of his life was broken at such a young age, and one pearl falling into the sewer and landing at the bottom of the well Bruce fell into later, visually tying his fall into despair directly with the incident, and him rising out of it through his adoption of the bat motif. That's just good film making.
>>221368538>college degreeLmao, these cultists have spent the last decade seething about these shit movies skipping their lives
>>221368448If it was purely the Batman vs Superman with Lex manipulating them into fighting it would have been a masterpiece. But WB made them add in Wonder Woman, Doomsday and the JL setup, which just turned the movie into nonsense. None of that extra shit felt like it was supposed to be apart of the original premise.
I liked it, it was very comicesque
Snyderian Comicesque.
>>221370591the cinematography was 10/10
