the entire show is a trainwreck five episodes in and not of the entertaining kindthe adults plotline is all sorts of bland due to rampant refusal to add anything sexual to it but the teenager portion is where true disaster lies: plant based son, ugly dyke daughter, mexican teyana thompson etc. oh there's marlo in a suit and juliette lewis kinda wanders around with her real face on.
Is everything just remakequels for the end of time? It seems like Hollywood specifically said "we are never making a new story ever again". Well, not entirely true, it seems like Netflix and others release new movies and tv shows but they seem like algorithmic background noise and quasi-jobs programs for minorities rather than something a human is supposed to watch.
>>221372682>More girlboss slopHard pass.
>>221372682>the entire show is a trainwreckI didn't need more than half of the first ep to reach the same conclusion>goofy colour inversion>all violence shown somehow feels faker than fake, I can't for a second buy that anything happened and that it's not just a TV crew copying scenes from other shows to get it done>awful unconvincing "le troubled teenager" character (why do teenager characters always suck so much cock nowadays, they're always unreasonable edgy faggots, even for teenager standards, it just isn't true to life)The only thing I liked was Byron French hitting it off with the interns, that was funny and soulful. I hated everything else and dropped it possibly the fastest I had ever dropped any TV show.
>>221372682Cape Fear with Deniro sucked ass, why would the 2nd remake be better?
I liked the first episode and the ending of it, but man the past 3 have been absolutely nothingBardem is not that menacing and the whole thing is stretched to series format, the teenage drama is such a snore
>>221372739>Is everything just remakequels for the end of time?Yes. The present state of video games is going to be the default for everything.
>>221373147both the video games and the new shows use the same engine and color grading although video games have a better depth of field
>>221373147>>221373201Definitely think that paid high budget long term media is on its way out. IT's in the twilight. The clear future is short cheap media entertainment.
>>221373466If a movie has a super high budget there are simply too many stakeholders and too many cooks in the kitchen for it to be any good. People are slowly becoming wise to this fact. If a movie has a super high budget there is an extremely high chance that it is simply going to be hollow corporate slop. That much money simply comes with too many strings attached and any rough edges are going to get shaved off in order to appeal to a wider audience and to try and make the massive amount of money spent on it back. But with a lower budget they can afford to be more creative and more narrowly focus on a specific core audience and what they like. Its a win win when the budgets are lower and you have someone behind the camera with enough skill to pull it off.
