I saw one on cable about a band that goes to play in a big event but they are terrible. They are young and one the guys ends up being a pharmacist. They might be english. One of the guys has mental issues. There is a petite pixie girl. Dont want to spoil to much. History boys also seemed weird that no one had heard about it. Definitely pushing the envelope.

There was some European animation that had a college girl flying a hoverboard in a gaming arena. It was sci fi. It might be french. Her boyfriend suggest she sleep with her professor to pass the class, ring any bells? I saw it on one of anime recommendation charts.
