How was Suits received back in the day?

Just finished Season 1 and it's pretty peak so far
>>
It was very popular. Unfortunately, the later seasons suck

It was the snarky show that everyone was watching, similar to House but House was better. Still, pretty entertaining for what it was.

The entire show is laughably bad but it’s inexplicably popular, even now

imdb ratings aren't the best picture of how good a show is, but ~8's across the board for the first 5 seasons represents a good show appreciated by its fans
final two seasons correctly maligned as well
>>
normie show for normies with main character syndrome and have an inflated sense of self worth with dumbed down and capeshitified writing instead of real lawyering
>>
>Harvey walks along the corridor towards some meeting
>Mike hands him a file he spent all night working on
>Harvey opens it and reads one page in 3 seconds
>Harvey thanks Mike and goes into the meeting
>Harvey owns some stubborn old dude by casually quoting information from the folder he got not 30 seconds before
>Meeting ends in 2 minutes with Harvey threatening the old dude with some sort of deadline
>someone in the business later fucks the case over
>Mike thinks outside the box to rescue the day

Yeah, it was kino

It was my plane show. Easy watching.

Im in lust with the redhead and the dusky girlfriend. His abilities for eidetic is bordering on the supernatural in The first episode and it does create a sense of disbelief. The Pitt has an asian girl with the similar gift and there are already youtube videos glorifying her as an academic weapon. It creates this illusion that genius is a fixed trait and none of these people make an effort to study. I do enjoy the antagonist is so easy to hate in the law office. He really plays into it. There was a similar show but with a gentleman thief.

I thought that was Billions. I know he's in both.

Has one of the greatest first episodes of all time so it got a lot of praise and attention, and it was mostly deserved for how well it knows exactly what it wants to be so early on. First few seasons are very solid, but for anyone that knows where the show goes and ends up, or doing a rewatch after having quit watching when it gets terrible later, the cracks and flaws show even in the good seasons.

This was on the tablet when I was in prison. I watched the first few episodes then dropped it in favor of Arrow. Megan Markle is hot. But the show was corny and unrealistic.

S1 and 2 were pretty good, then it massively nosedives
