Brother, you’re overthinking it. Turning 40 was such a liberating experience. The pressure’s kind of off at that point, and I think that most people who aren’t in my direct inner circle just assume that I’m a closet case, and frankly, I couldn’t care less.

I also hit a point of acceptance that I’m pretty set in my ways at this stage in life, and if I’m being truly honest with myself, I would come to hate living with someone.

When was in my 20s and dabbled in dating, I was miserable constantly. It took me a long time to accept that it’s just not my scene, but I got there, and I’m better off for it.
