Why was Ra in the movie an asgard and Apophis a goold
>>
>>221378153
Ra was a Goa'uld too. He just had an aging, dying Asgard host.

Ra is zesty and a pedo
>>

Movie was truly ahead of its time.

This 40k show is going to look horrible
>>
>>221378153
The movie is its own thing, but you already know this.
>>
>>221378319
Then why use Skara?
>>
>>221379407
Ra didn't poses Skaara, Apophis's son, Klorel, did. Ra and his host died at the end of the movie.
>>
Why didn't other system lords make clones of themselves? Ba'al figured out how to do it. Were the rest too retarded?

Baal obtained the cloning technology from Anubis who in return, obtained it from mindprobing Thor.

I'm watching Stargate in full for the first time. He does indeed refuse to die.

>it's an we killed all the goualds and now the show sucks episode
>>
>>221380882
I don't know why they would ever kill of the goualds? there is a lot of gods and plenty of soap operas you could have between them, tokra show they can be good.
>>
>>221377803
It's another "There's nothing else on tv at the moment. This is it. (sigh)"-show
>>
>>221380882
i actually liked the ori arc
like the whole show until the defeat of the goa'ulds is
>humanity across the solar system is enslaved to false gods
>to defeat them expose the lie, show they are just mortal parasites
the natural progression from that, the only enemy that could be interesting after false gods is basically
>well what if they were actually real gods, not faking not exxagerating actual gods

There's always some fan who accepts any slop.

There's plenty of other ideas they could have explored without increasing the power scaling, or if there weren't any enemies left in the Milky Way.

They could have explored a machine race from another galaxy.

They could have done alien arachnid or insects from another galaxy.

Heck they could have done something like crusaders from another galaxy. Like an actual competent Human empire from another Galaxy invades the Milky way and wants to conquer it. They aren't misguided or worshipping a false God. Just people who want to conquer and win. Have it be like 40K where they are on a great crusade to conquer Galaxies.

Heck you could have a situation where the only way to win is to rely on the Goual'd or team up with them. An ironic twist where enemies must team up.

Indeed, just read your own reddit formatted post.
>>

you're right that they had many options (a lof of which they kinda explored in atlantis) but having relied on 'tell everyone theyre not real gods' for the entire goual'd im certain that having to fight actual gods is the very best twist they could have done. having the enemy be 'for real' this time negates all the arguments and tactics they previously used and all the power creep and alliances the tauri secured which is almost the only way you can bring back real tension to the story while by inverting the goual'd story.

having the ori just die to some mcguffin special anti ori old weapon was retarded even if the concept of the ori was brilliant.

They should have done the Aschen war instead of leaving that for dogshit fanfiction tier books
>>
i was really hoping he'd make it the whole show and be the last big bad guy
they lost me with all that ori shit
>>
>>221382546
It would have been interesting to see Sg1 challenges by a competent enemy. Not the cocky System Lords.

I was always bothered that the magic macguffin that kills the Ori also did it off screen
