Why did it take so long for everyone to realize he was a hack?
Troma was considered good edgy. Those 2010s tweets would be fine from edgy 11yo without adult supervision, not from an adult with increasingly big industry clout that can offer jobs in exchange for their souls.
>>221377843because he never got this kind of power beforehe just did his quirky reddit movies once in a whilehe should never have gotten into a management position
>>221377843He's a pedo, and people like pedos
>>221377843People liked Guardians of the Galaxy. After him doing it 4 additional times, people finally wised up.He probably would have gotten away with it if he just did it 3 more times though.
>>221377843Turns out Feige had been tard wrangling him the entire time.
>>221377916This. His weird shit only works when paired with a more straight laced body of work. You cant set him loose all on his own.
He got a lot of credibility with superhero fans because he used wacky obscure characters in his movie, which was unheard-of at the time
>>221377843GOTG 2 was it for menever saw his earlier troma stuffsaw the vagina with teeth movie once
nepokikes never stand the test of time
>>221377940Both guardians sequels suck hard, first guardians movie is barely watchable
another victim of the Alan Moore curse
>>221377929Gunn is no pedo and nobody sincerely believes that he is. Chudcels just claim that because he attacked Roseanne over tweets so they tried to take revenge by digging up edgy tweets he did. Of course, they didn't actually want to cancel him for making pedo jokes 12 years ago given that chuds make cunny threads all day and believe that pedophilia is based and trad. You chuds managed to get Gunn “cancelled” for all of two days before Disney realized that literally nobody outside of your echo chamber cared. Normal people didn’t buy it. The only ones foaming at the mouth were a handful of Snydercels. Disney hired Gunn right back, Marvel gave him his franchise finale, and meanwhile DC snatched him up too, which directly led to the Snyderverse being put in the ground permanently. So congratulations. In your obsession to “expose” Gunn, you didn’t just fail , but you handed him the keys to the DCEU. You dug Snyder’s grave with your own hands. The movement you wasted years obsessing over is dead because of you. Gunn won, Snyder lost, and all you have left is seething and crying.
He was only good when he was edgy. Super was his best film and he never came close to topping it
>>221377843TDS not even fibbing
>>221377843He looks like dana carvey spoofing an elder basedboy.
He was fine when he could rip off Farscape.
>>221377843Whedon made Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
>>221377843Because Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is genuinely a great movie. Not just a great superhero movie. It's just a great movie. Each one of the characters from the core ensemble cast has a very well written arc. They each show perceptible personal growth and change. They're different people than they were at the start of the story. They mature over the course of the movie.
>>221377843Let's be real, the same people that shilled superman (which flopped by the way) to hell and back were never going to do the same for a female-led capeshit flick. The grift would have been crystal clear
>>221378379>it's good because it does the bare minimumonly 1 is good, and not that good
He didn't write Supergirl. He didn't direct Supergirl.
>>221378379Thanks idiot. U said the same thing 4 times. GotG 2 is good, but guess what. It was carried hard as fuck by Pratt. Literally all him
>>221377955James Gunn is the George Lucas capeshit
>>221378666Ok but he is the boss of the whole DC, this is what happened under his management And Peacemaker season 2 sucks
>>221378069>Chudcel>chud>chuds>cunnyGo to bed James you faggot.
>>221377843His shtick works well for GotG. Either that shtick is all he has, or ot worked so well that he tries to apply it to everything, even if a different approach would be better for the material. It's like Taika Waititi, where I love What We Do in the Shadows, but I think his humor and style is a bad match for Thor
>>221378692Yondu was arguably the best character in that movie. Bradley Cooper was awesome as Rocket. Even Zoe saldana and her feud with her sister was interesting storytelling. Chris Pratt was a great piece of a great ensemble. Even Kurt Russel was excellent in this. This movie was not "carried" by a single actor. Not even close. >>221378654>bare minimumWhy are so many movies not doing the bare minimum then? If interesting character arcs are the bare minimum why is it so rare?
