This dude has absolutely zero personality or character traits.

So he was a programmer, so he was a smart and pragmatic problem solver? He is actually pretty helpess until the end of the movie. Logicial no-bullshit type person? I guess he is a little apprehensive to the whole idea, but who wouldn't be. Timid / too afraid to take any chance? Dude was comitting cyber crime and followed the white rabbit the first time he was asked.
