havent seen this is it good?
It's ok. Definitely fucking weird, not for everyone.
It is very strange and gay, even for Tim. Quickly loses steam but the first couple episodes are pretty kino
Its got the "Lost" problem. You can't solve the mystery or the show is over. So you just keep adding plot lines and don't resolve any of them.
first 20 minutes of the first episode is pretty funny, then it's just complete dogshit after that and not worth watching
ill check it out
>>221380074It's funny.
is the new york accent security guard a max payne voice actor?wtf
>SHIT IN MY PUSSY FUCK YOU FUCK YOU RIP MY DICK OFFits enlightened humor
I thought his job was Tables?
>>221380074Its great when it goes fully weird with bizarre characters, its not so good when its just him getting humiliated. I want him to win.
It was good until they announced season 2
>>221383423i think the show does a great job of giving him wins like when he gets hit with the crowbar and immediately stands up to chase the guy down, then when he confronts the guy later he stands tall again. if this was 10 year earlier the protag would be pussying out left and right
If you Robbins other stuff you will definetly enjoy it.If you didnt then probably not. Also the ending sucks and I seriously hope it's not the direction they take season 2.
>>221383337>"Hold on this is the best part...">*incoherent screaming*
>>221384606what exactly was different with the ending that would be a new direction? the corpo mystery wasn't exactly resolved
>>221381968This.Also much of the humor is derived from people shouting at each other. Loud=funny apparently. It's for these reasons I dropped it after 2 episodes. Excellent concept for a show though.
It's one of those things where you watch a clip on youtube and you think it's going to be hilarious and then you watch the entire thing and you realize that clip was the only part that was funny and it was only funny because it was entirely out of context.
It's a strong seven out of ten. But the second season won't deliver.
>>221381239Is it just random schizo shit like his other show?
>>221381968You mean the Twin Peaks problem. Ironic given that Tim is the closest thing going to a modern day Lynch.
>>221383337>>221384622https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZeV3xtStjU
>>221384659i'd argue over half the humor is not yelling, a lot of it is awkward and bizarre social interactions aswell as relatable moments like him looking for how to give feedback on the website or crying and typing a comment on a youtube video
>>221383337>>221384622
>>221384642You must not have watched it if you dont understand what I am referring to.
>>221384762kek hes the best part of the show
Tim has found a way to manipulate time. A single episode feels like 2 hours
>>221384745lol if that CD existed for real i would buy it like the jerky boys CDs if they made absolutely no sense
As a whole I think it’s okay to good. But the chase episode deserves to be some sort of television pantheon.
hard to watch level bad
>>221385242You type like a moron.
>>221380074I only saw 3 episodes and it's just people yelling.
>>221385310i understood him perfectly
>>221380074My friends love him and always watch him but I just don’t get it. Is something wrong with me?
>>221380074Annoying Curse rip-off.
>>221386067youve aged out of having a sense of humor and your ingrained bitterness is eating your soul inside out, detroiters>ITYSL>Chair company is some of the strongest comedy of the modern era far as tv goes
>>221380074He's literally me
>>221386043Because you are him, samefag
>>221386114Curse was 100% not as funny and I generally adore Nathan Fielder, Rehearsal and N4You are his better works. Chair Company even had a stronger narrative and secret society atmospheric surrealness, I'll grant the Curse subtlety is a massive strength and more impressive, CC has very weird scenarios and weird people but the Curse will make things that should be normal feel very uncanney
>>221380074its "we have severance at home"
>>221380074I just started watching and I unironically love it. It threads the needle between stupid absurdism/cringe comedy and sincere weirdness and mystery extremely well, and the ways it visually sends up the thriller genre are just dead on. Also it takes place in my hometown which is a bonus.
>>221381968they solved the mystery. you idiots didn't even watch it
>>221381968i dunno about that. this is more like the mystery/conspiracy constantly compounds to greater and greater degrees in an over the top and funny way
>>221386177every post that disagrees with me is one guy, and every post that agrees with me is the silent majority behaving themselves
Do you retards complaining about how it's too much like severance and lost really not realize it's a parody of the mystery box genre? That's why the conspiracy keeps taking nonsensical twists and turns. It's why the protag's "inescapable dark past" is fuckin>>221386204g Jeep Tours.
It is a surprising take down of our society, that somehow maintains nuance throughout. Also helps that it is actually entertaining and threads several needles. Definitely one of the best shows of the 2020s (not a high bar).
i recommended this show to my mum before i'd seen the end of that particular episode and had to quickly tell her she wouldn't like it
