By most accounts, Ray held more of a grudge against them than the other way around. When it came to the handshake agreement, the brothers weren't even mad when he broke it. They were interviewed about it and they basically laughed it off and said it was just Ray being Ray.Oh and that part about Ray buying off the very first McDonald's and driving them completely out of business while they looked on and cried? Didn't happen. Yes he did buy it but the brothers were retired and happy by then. But then a movie about a workaholic that became successful and two savvy but unambitious brothers who basically lived a good life and ended up pretty happy with where things went doesn't make for a compelling movie.

Kroc suffered with others until he got a great advisor and told them to fuck themselves. The brothers each got 1.3 million AND a degree of royalties in spite of what the film said. They didn't get robbed.
