WTF??? I thought everyone liked this
>>
>>221382154
When this film came out and I saw how they had exactly replicated the intro, I did whatever the 1990s child version of a Soiface was.
>>
>>221382179
based
>>
>>221382154
this movie would be a masterpiece if it came out today. but in the 90s people were like "it's just a dumb kids movie" because they were used to watch great mainstream films all the time.
>>
>>221382154
>wtf I liked this film as a kid so I just assumed everyone did!
grow up, OP
>>
>>221383497
Hating the Flintstones isn't a personality
>>
It's for kids, I liked it when I was a kid. If I watch it now I would think it's goofy but that's the point. When I have kids I'll definitely watch it with them.
>>
>>221382154
It gave us the McRib and changed fast food forever
>>
>>221382154
>betty rubble was one of the hottest cartoon waifus
>cast fucking rosie
>>
>>221382154
I like it
Goofy and weird but fun.

>>221382154
I still got some of the happy meal toys

At least they got Halle Berry
>>
>>221384497
The mcrib first came out in the 80s
>>
>>221385197
90s Rosie was peak
>>
>>221382154
John Goodman as Fred was top tier casting.
>>
did some youtuber make a video essay about this recently? why are there suddenly threads about it?
>>
>>221382154
I'm from the Flinstones timeline so you can get that extra T bullshit off my board
>>
>>221382154
It was a pretty bad movie back then, but compared to shit that comes out now it's a downright masterpiece.
>>
>>221382154
A lot of 90s classics were trashed by critics. It's just that the kids that loved these movies are adults now
>>
>>221382154
You were tricked into liking it because Halle Berry gave you your first boner.
>>
>>221382154
I loved it as a kid, but then again I had pretty shit taste as a kid. Haven't seen it in decades though.
>>
>>221382154
This movie sucked. Im 40+, and this was my moment as a kid learning that a hyped movie experience can end up sucking ass. It also made me distrust any sort of "live action" version of a cartoon movie.
>>
>>221384486
It was babyboomer and silent generation nostalgiabait, too.
>>
>>221386613
Well the Flintstones kinda suck if we're being honest. Besides standard sitcom tropes, it has ONE fucking joke:

>I'm le heckin' caveman and look at all these prehistoric animals we use for modern day conveniences!

But the problem is, they do nothing with the concept of I don't know, a t-rex rampaging. What do they do then?
>>
>>221382179
Halle Berry made me feel funny things in my pants I didn't quite understand yet.
>>
>>221385284
Whenever a movie like this suddenly becomes a popular topic here it means that one of the normgroid streamers like Netflix picked it up.
>>
>>221382154
It's hard to believe that they let Jim Carrey age out of being George Jetson in a live action Jetsons movie. They could have done a crossover sequel with Carrey and Goodman like the animated movie from the 80s. Shit would have been so cash.
>>
i hated this movie as a kid and my parents and siblings would watch it all the time
i also hated the cartoon

>t-rex
It's a solved problem. In-universe they are explained as being rare. And the ones that are around have been domesticated
>>
>>221382179
being faithful to the source material and fans like it. what a crazy concept
>>
>>221385246
That's Sharon Stone.
>>
did anyone make a hanging soijack of fred and barney? that'd be kind of funny i guess
>>
>>221382179
children should be the ones that make soifaces. It's literally the most exciting things they've ever experienced in their life.
