How was Suits received back in the day?

Just finished Season 1 and it's pretty peak so far
>>
the drug deal on suits was hilarious
>>
why am I getting spammed by this shit on youtube short?
>>
Millennial mom slop
>>
>>221384955
It falls off

Donna and Rachel were hot.
>>
>>221384983
It's full of white people and inoffensive. Perfect for Jeet account shorts
>>
>>221384955
My 92 yo grandma loved this show.
The show started with a strong premise, but eventually that gets resolved and from there it kinda just plods along without purpose. First two, maybe three seasons are very good.

Isn't this all shows? Except maybe Breaking Bad
>>
>>221384955
if you like this show you should watch LA Law, a show from the late 80s and early 90s that Suits copied everything from. I think its a lot better.

>>
>>221384955
I watched some shorts but completely lost interest once I saw that disgusting squirrel-faced jew
>>
>>221385128
La law is different from suits
>>
>>221385116
True, but I've never seen another show suffer as badly from it as this one.
>>
>>221385144
Can't be that different
>>
>>221385144
all the stuff about internal firm politics and management was taken directly from it
>>
>>221384955
So Mike never passed the Bar for himself but takes it for other people?
Why couldn't he take it himself especially after working for the firm where the paralegals haven't taken it yet either obviously?
>>
>>221385191
La law is the modern legal show. But suits is quite a bit different - a lot of la law was arguing cases in court, there was much less if it on suits. The characters were different too.
>>
>>221385226
He had not attended law school.
>>
>>221385226
Keep watching, that's explained.
>>
>>221385226
>So Mike never passed the Bar for himself
He does in season 6 or so.
>>

Why couldn't Harvey pull a string for him to do it immediately after the first episode?

>Why couldn't Harvey pull a string for him to do it immediately after the first episode?
Did you not watch episode 1 of season 1?
>>
>>221385530
Yes?
>>
>>221385647
Then the bar is not the single element required to be hired at the firm.
>>
>>221385493
You have to complete at least one year of law school study (you can actually not do the remaining years if you can do what's called "reading the law" instead), but even if that could be bypassed, and there are a couple of ways. You also have to do a couple of other exams and do some courses, as well as certifying some declarations to a sitting judge, that are handled state and federally. Harvey would not be able to pull that many strings. Not even a Supreme Court Judge could do it, it'd be a massive fraud and impossible to hide.
>>
>>221384955
i watched it for a season i think, maybe two. then it just got repetitive and ridiculous. a soap opera in a law firm. very gay.
>>
>>221386387
>a soap opera in a law firm. very kino
Ftfy
>>
>>221385032
Which seasons are worth it? I also loved S1 but felt pretty bored in S2 and dropped it. Should I pick it up?
>>
I stopped watching to play video games but never got around to finishing it because Meghan Markle sucks irl.
>>
>>221386477
Probably the first 4
>>
all the holes in the office made it not believable. no law firm would have so many holes working for it
>>
USA had these bangers about [career drama]

Suits
Psych
Burn Notice
White Collar
Royal Pains

they ate
>>
>>221384955
>slaps folder on desk
stopped watching after season 2 because it became about Mike and Rachel's relationship.
>>
>>221384955
The first two seasons are genuinely promising. It's like a shonen anime with a new cartoon villain of the week except the fights happen in court. It gets progressively shittier after S2.

>>221385226
Same reason Harvey doesn't just hire Mike as a paralegal but pay him more. Because there would be no show.
>>
>>221385226
he doesn't have a degree and credentials

he basically skipped the requirements

>>221385226
lol, u tk him 2da bar?
>>
>>221386321
>it'd be a massive fraud and impossible to hide.
who would look in the first place?
>>
>>221385289
he should have used that obscure mentorship or whatever its called program that lets you skip law school
>>
>>221384955
>Just finished Season 1 and it's pretty peak so far
the sad part is that Rachel is the best he ever gets. the blonde friend in S1 was much more attractive. from here on, every attractive woman on screen is a plaything for Harvey
>>
>>221387879
Possibly their many enemies, who also happen to be legal experts, desperately searching for any way to get an upper hand in a court case where millions of dollars are on the line.
>>
>>221385137
Louis Litt is unironically the best part of the show. he's a shameless, pitiful loser and a freak and the actor nails it. great comedy.
>>
Glarkle
>>
>same thread again not even 24h later
indian
>>
>>221388388
I dropped the show the moment he discovered Mike's secret and used it to be partner
harvey knowing is fine
The women boss knowing it is fine
now if Louis also knows and fucking everyone knows it kinda defeats the only problem this series poses as interesting
And this niggas saying he actually takes the bar in season 6? Imagine that, even less problems
>>
>>221388883
he spends season 5 in prison because he gets caught in season 4
>>
>>221388883
The show should have been that secret growing bigger and more volatile, with the final season being the firm doing everything they can to cover it up until the inevitable explosion. It could have just been three seasons of that with most of the filler cut out and it would have been great. No happy ending.
>>
>>221389724
That would require good writing
