I pitched Kelley Jones' Vampire trilogy to WB for adaptation. Ready-made trilogy, low budget horror and it is Batman fighting vampires so it would have made money hand over fist. They could not compute the "elseworlds" part; too obsessed with universe building. This was a few years ago, pre Gunn
