What new shows? The only things on are cop dramas and reality bullshit. There's no sci-fi, no good sit-coms, no scary/horror. My wife watches all these stupid cop/medical dramas and reality shit and all i basically watch is reruns on metv and antiques road show. There's nothing for men on tv and I guess thats how the women execs at these networks want it. Ok so we're not watching, that's all.

Volume. Old shows have 100+ episodes for most of them. So if someone is watching it that will rack up a lot of watch time compared to modern shows that have like 8 episodes for a season.
