This one was the most kino era of UI design. The transition between the glossy gradients and embossed designs of the 00s to the soulless flatslop of the mid-10s to present.

2006 to 2012

I lwarnes that using youtube without adblock is hell, not only did they get rid of the bar telling you when an ad is going to come, they are all random now, they made it so a video will keep playing ads when you replay it but worse on livestreams, they completely kill the sound to play it, are unskippable naad cause major desync
>>
That's outdated. Now the sound bar is hidden until you hover over it. The Jeet who thought of that should be thrown in front of a train.

2011-2012 was the best

WTF is up with the volume symbol? Was there something wrong wrong with the old one everyone knows?
>>
>>221399043
it's better that way though, when you need the line it just pops up once you hover over it
>>
>>221399055
I don't mind this but the embedded videos have an awful vertical volume bar for some reason
>>
>>221399061
It doesn't have a timer. It pops up while your cursor is over the bar if it leaves the invisible boundary it disappears and you need to go back. This is fine if you're sitting on your desk using your mouse, not so great if you're controlling the cursor through your phone screen, a joystick, a thinkpad nipple or any other input device.

I meant that literally. Us whites have the power to control our PC from our phone and play things from it on our tvs.
>>
I just want them to bring back the dislike bar.

08-10

also pretty much any that dont cause a fucking dim when hovering over the video(or on pause) so you can take screenshots which is now impossible

Honestly, today's. Rare for UI to be an improvement.

2006-2008 has the most sovl. Has it really been the same since 2015? It can definitely be refined further. What are they afraid of?
>>
>>221398783
2006 was the best looking, but it did that thing where you’d try to skip ahead but the slider would just snap back and you’d do the classic “FFFFFUUUUU-“ meme.

The last one is the best because it's the most minimalistic one.

I realize that it's common to complain in yt that "the new one is shit, reverse to the second newest" and people do that every time.
