>tent pole movie with huge budget
>Possible big break for new and upcoming actress / or finally elevating to A+ status after spending a decade making Hallmark movies
>Actress shit talks men and saying this movie ain’t for them in every interview
>Entire leftist social media/ old media regurgitates this non stop with ‘clap back’ tweets
>One of the biggest flops in the history of film
>Entire media gaslight men how it’s toxic masculinity’s fault the movie failed and holding strong women back.
>Entire cinematic universe decade+, 10 billie+ in projected revenue is scrapped.

Exactly what is this strategy called?

If only some press tour that nobody knows exists and foreign language countries can't even understand wasn't woke, supergirl would've been endgame on steroids

It's literally just the hollywood jews losing their teeth.
Back in the day if some actor/actress stepped out of line they'd get metaphorically killed because the directors had the guts to treat actors like dirt if they had to.
If these new breed of directors could command the respect of the people working for them like say Friedkin and Kubric they'd all be afraid to say anything to make the movie look bad.
Who's afraid of pissing off limp wristed faggots like Gunn and Paul Feig?

I finally watched the trailer last night after all this time.
I thought you guys were being mean and making edits but I was wrong. She really DID look like that in that frame.
Really uninteresting trailer too, I don't think anyone wants to see Supergirl crying over Krypto for a couple of hours.

It's all worth it to them as long as 'the message' is sent

You're a fucking retard. I bet you even argued with people about how it wasn't that bad or whatever even though you had no fucking idea what you were talking about.

No I never argued about something I didn't watch, I thought she was attractive in Superman's ending so the new reception towards her seemed confusing.

ignorance is not an excuse for stupidity or being annoying

I'm speaking only for myself, but I suspect I'm not the only one.
Before Milly started saying dumb shit, before the hilarious foreskin cup, this shot was what turned me against the movie.
It's not like I was ever going to be into it, I might've watched it, but this one frame turned the whole movie into a joke for me.

Don't know. It's a mystery alright.

DC should stick to self-contained one-off "What if?" movies because the honest truth is that it's extended universe is fucking stupid and simply doesn't translate to film. Joker demonstrated incontrovertibly. Make movies like "Red Son", "All Star Superman", and edgy shit like Absolute Batman and "The Batman who Laughs". Perhaps they'll find some success with that Clayface movie and lean a little into the horror potential some of their properties have.

I think a Green Lantern vs. Sinestro Corps show that just starts and it's already happening and they just fill you in on the backstory where necessary but otherwise it's just various lanterns doing shit and it functions like an episodic 90s/00s space opera show mixed with a character focused serial drama would be perfect
Instead they're doing a weird True Detective rip-off that nobody is going to like.

I still can't believe they unironically thought this was their epic slow motion money shot of the movie

It's funny that I've seen multiple posts lately of people saying they thought it was AI or whatever this whole time
