>>221401484I finished watching it tonight and it was obviously a pastiche of famous horror movies, but done really well.Picrel ended up being my favourite character in the show, her final girl episode was absolutely hilarious as was the party.The comedy in the show was a great idea. With mystery box shows like From they tend to get bogged down with questions never being answered but because of the heavy comedic element in this show it becomes much less important and I just took every episode as a fun ride in itself.
I enjoyed it. I have zero hope for the next season. If I sense even one more ounce of pozzery added to it I won't watch it and I will consider the first season a standalone thing like I consider The Terror. Nothing after the first season exists.
I just binged it tonight. Has really serious tonal problems, it can't decide if it wants to be comedy or drama, with both clashing at times. The writing also gets really contrived to bait a season 2, with some obvious hadwaving that everyone that's not a complete NPC will easily notice.Still tho, very comfy and quite decent all the way through. I think the show it's at its best as a horror comedy anthology. Hope it doesn't fall victim to the season 2 curse.
