I love how Steve bitched that Shelley Duvall's performance of Wendy was so sexist.and then had his version of Wendy beaten worse that the Kubrick version ever was.

The movie is less faithful and elevated for it by Kubrick's superior intellect and story telling, excising the stupid parts of King's novel and leaving only the few good elements King accidentally wrote.
