He was away with the 3ish million, the girl and the satisfaction of knowing that he'd (mostly) won. Surely he could have hired a small army of private investigators & hitmen using just a fraction of the money he had, from the comfort of whatever country he was escaping to.For such a smart & meticulous man, it felt out of character that he'd slip like that, especially after repeatedly arsing on about "don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat" - that should have applied to his crew also.
