Deadline said Supergirl has over $100 million in marketing. They also said it cost $170 million to as high as $183 million to make. So if we go with the low cost of $170 million that means the total cost is $270 million. So the break even point for Supergirl would be $540 million...thats when they will actually start making a profit in cinemas from the film. In scope, Superman made $618 million world wide but needed $700 million to break even. So that was a failure as well, no matter how the shills try to spin it. Wtf is DC thinking? Who hires a actress with one short film writing credit on a project like this??
They had like 10 screenings and edits, obviously it cost money.
Do we have an official number for marketing? Because I can see this having a $100 million marketing budget easily.

The movie has the exact same marketing and style as the Hamada-era DCEU movies like Shazam 2, Aquaman 2, Black Adam, Blue Beetles. I suspect James Gunn has been giving "notes" since then
