All I do is just rewatch this show over and over again. I can't break this cycle. There's literally nothing else I care about watching. Wtf is wrong with me? I wasn't like this before.
>>221404682I did in my late teens-early 20s, then a few more rewatches after throughout the years. Not sure why, but it captivated me. I would finish the series, then start S01E01 again. I haven't watched it in years now but I still remember every scene, funny quote, symbolism, mystery, plot hole, minor character, etc. because I must have seen it 30 times by now. And yes, it does ruin watching most other series because they have so little merit in comparison.
>>221404682Your Sopranos obsession will turn into a post-Sopranos depression.
>>221404682Mad Men is good... not as good, but a similar level of detail and respect for the audience... starts a little slow, too
There are worse things to watch on repeat. Just out of curiosity, how many of their mannerisms do you use in everyday situations at this point?
>>221404682Same, I get disappointed by most other shows because they’re usually shit compared to the sopranos, but I have recently started watching better call Saul and it very good!
>>221404770I'm literally just talking/acting like Tony 24/7. I'm sure my friends and family are tired of it.
>>221404770NTA. But, when I was in that phase, I caught myself doing things like point to things with my pinky out, or, when speaking, use their hand gestures, turns of phrase, and intonation. I also adapted some of their fashion choices like patterned polo shirts with slacks and loafers. Cringe but true.
Bump for sopranos obsession disorder
What other shows do you guys like?
>>221404682Sometimes the mood just hits you. I rewatched it 3 times in less than two months and I've been watching Frasier non-stop for the last 6 months every night.
I'd recommend Chernobyl.
>>221404770I find myself doing the Silvio protruded lower lip while saying "byootiful"
>>221404770I've started saying really stupid shit like "Quasimodo predicted all this" and nobody knows what the fuck I'm talking about.

>>221406107I've said "couple of three things" a lot in the past.
I gave up on tv after it ended. I was more or less convinced that there wasn't going to be another show like it or even one that comes close.
>>221404770Anthony Cumia occasionally busts out a Tony Soprano accent while saying "irregardless". Then I saw the episode he heard it on and I just lost my shit and started saying it.
>>221404682I never obsessively watched anything as a child. My sister did and it drove my parents nuts but I never understood rewatching media again and again and again. Even as a much older man I still don't get much out of repeated viewings of movies or tv. Some really good movies or really good tv shows I'll go back and rewatch once or twice after the initial viewing years later to see if I get anything different out of it I didn't get the first time but not many works justify that treatment. The one outlier is Tron Legacy, yeah yeah I know, I just like it and it's a great movie to flex my sound system with, but even that I've seen less than 10 times total between theater viewings with friends and at home over the years Is it a comfort thing? Why do people rewatch stuff repeatedly?
>>221406484It literally soothes the central nervous system; the familiar characters, the anticipation of favourite scenes, even if you can't remember specifically what the upcoming scene or gag is at first, you can sense its oncoming and it feels pleasant. There's actual science behind this as to why people rewatch certain shows beyond just the quality of the series itself. It has a psychological effect on the viewer, even if its background noise.
>>221406392Had the same thing happen a month ago lmao. Ant rules. Sopranos is the shit. Also Rosalie Aprile was one of the hottest gals on the show. Ralph already had her doing the weird shit he liked. He could've been eating her ass and getting footjobs. Imagine Ro's booty hole after an hour on the treadmill. Full fucking Italian bush going back between the cheeks but not expanding beyond the inner cusp of the buttcheeks. Visible pussy lips but not too much. Nice meaty clit. She's hesitant when you tongue her asshole but you've already made her cum from eating her pussy. Yeah she tightens up at first but gives in quickly. Next thing you know she's got one foot between your shoulder blades and another one up in the air and now she's fucking your tongue with her ass. The smell is delicious. After shes had another orgasm you fuck her in the pussy for 40 seconds and bust a nut so hard that it could be used in the large hadron collider. The night ends with her making you some ziti or some other wop shit. Then she wakes you up with a handjob because she came twice and you only came once. I jack it to a pornstar by the name of Mindi Mink who could be her fucking twin. Sucks she only does lesbo/solo shit but she's damn near a dead ringer for Aunt Ro.But yeah the soprano's was a good show.>
>>221404682>All I do is just rewatch this show over and over againSame
>>221406484>watch something, like it, feel good >watch it again, still like it, feel good againIt's like going to the same restaurant multiple times. You know you like the food, you know you like the atmosphere, the service is good, so why not? Meanwhile, if you chance it on a new place you might have a shit experience and it's just massive waste of time. Don't get me wrong, I seek out novel shit all the time, but sometimes you're not in the mind frame to experience something new, you just want guaranteed comfort and relaxation. Some people do go full autismo and get stuck in an obsessive loop where they refuse to feel the pang of discomfort.

I get rewatching some episodes or scenes but how the hell do people have time/patience to rewatch an entire fucking show?
>>221407046You attentively watch the episodes you love and only vaguely pay attention to the episodes you don't.
Try The Rockford Files.
Crime Story is meant to be really good, it's what Michael Mann went on to do after Miami Vice and was one of the first shows to have over arcing storylines where episodes weren't standalone and told a greater longer story over the season (which people seemed to hate at the time).
>>221407046I've only seen the show once and stopped watching it entirely midway season 4 once I noticed how repetaitive, digressive, and tedious it was becoming. Not even a addled zoomer and I think it's a good show but yeah I don't understand either.
>>221406141the sopranos pretty much became my 600 lb life towards the end
>>221407134It picks up again but nose dives in season 6.
Where's your arc?
>>221406392are you sure it's not an Andrew Dice Clay accent? there's like a four hour compilation of him doing that impression
>>221404682Nothing wrong with you anon. Sopranos is in a category of its own. Mad Men 2nd but then there is a drop off. Something like pic related.

disregard any replies shilling shows which aired or had seasons produced 2015-onwards (BCS, Twin Peaks, Family Guy, Chernobyl). All these shows have pro-leftwing, pro-female, pro-nonwhite, pro-miscegenation anti-white male, anti-Christian, anti-Western themes and should not held in the same regard as a show like Sopranos
