Why do people living in places like these complain about tourists so much?
Not only is it a blessing for them economically, but living somewhere like that must be really boring for more than half of the year where nothing happens until summer. It's a nice balance.

Making a documentary like this will also NOT make tourism to you less likely. It will only make the place more popular.

So tourism is a problem, but migrants are welcomed.

The young people can't afford to live in their own towns and they don't get a cut of the tourism revenue like most young people they are not a stakeholder in their own economy.

The migrants aren't buying up properties for a second home to summer in or tourism speculation in some sort of airbnb scheme.

This but the problem is everywhere not just tourist towns

americ*n tourists are not a blessing

You're a dumb nigger who doesn't understand the world. Tourists are not a blessing

it was a blessing 30 years ago when tourism didn't take most of the local infraestructure needed to have your own life, when it meant you could live off on half a year's salary while dedicating the other half to studying or saving up from a second job, and most real estate wasn't in the hand of a couple (American/Israeli) corpos who, in turn, had appropriated all of said real estate by monstrously contributing to local corruption through bribing and/or blackmailing our politicians in order to get whatever they want
honestly can't wait for the age of mass tourism to come crashing down

I guess they can crowd up places but I really do't get the hate for tourists people have. They are just enjoying a vacation

>Why do people living in places like these complain about tourists so much?
Because it's the latest "cool" thing amongst the people who like to complain about things like "capitalism." They need to protest something and feel like they're fighting muh system.

They are for your shitty economy but go ahead, keep making people who want to visit feel unwelcome, I'm sure everything will return to a blissful utopia when they stop coming and shelling out their dollars for your shitty trinkets and chiclet.

Tourism is like every other industry: It has advantages and drawbacks

But if your town ONLY has tourism and very little else powering the local economy, then it's shortsighted to start running tourists off

>honestly can't wait for the age of mass tourism to come crashing down
You're going to be waiting for a long time because everyone wants to travel at some point
