Nah. Original Punisher (Lundgren) and Punisher War Zone (Stevenson), are awesome. Winter Soldier probably is too, I haven't seen it.The multi super and multi universe shit is gay as an omelette though. Also Logan was pretty cool.So in summary, no Francis. The reality is that capeshit has a heritage dating all the way back to the 50s, and it's been pretty consistent that whole time, where mafia content really only existed intermittently after the mid-80s. In the 2000s you had Batman, X-men, 300, V for vendetta. In the 90s you had Batman, Blade, The Crow, the Mask, SpawnIn the 80s you had Superman, Conan, Flash Gordon, RobocopThe mix starts leaning a lot heavier to TV as you go back, but you find about the same amount of comic book films as you get today. It's everything else that failed. Romcoms are particularly notable, Kung Fu flicks definitely on the list, Buddy Cop movies disappeared, Sports movies seem to be dead. This is the whole Hollywood is dying thing. The fact that they're now losing the ability to sell comic book movies doesn't mean they'll suddenly go back to making everything else, that's just absurd. In reality it means the last thing they're actually able to sell, they're no longer able to sell. Which means they can't sell anything any more.
