From what I've read about the BTS of this film, Connery was acting like a massive prima-donna throughout the entire production. Makes me think he chose to retire because he was nobody wanted to hire this expensive fucking nightmare.
>>221410709His character wasn't very interesting. I thought it was interesting they made captain Nemo a gigarich Indian and The Nautilus was taj mahal themed
He's not a particularly good actor he has zero range people just like the one type of character he can play, himself.
>>221410745You'd think he'd be more humble and accept a salary less than 17 million dollars
>>221410728To me the movie was always kinoI thought mr hyde's character was a rip off of the hulk, and for some reason i thought the guy who played tom sawyer was anakin's actor
>>221410802The potential for a really good movie is in there, but it trips over its own feet far too often. It's not terrible of anything, it just wastes a lot of potential.I'm not familiar with the source material for it it (other than the classic literature the characters are taken from), so many it deserves that hate if it judged as an adaptation. As is it's alright, has some cool shit going on.
>>221410902Since it was the 2000s it felt fresh and funEven though it was retarded on paperIts like one of movies you could rewatch anytime like van helsing, around the world in 80s the one with jackie chan, 13th warrior etc
It's crazy how big an asshole movie stars used to be on set You can't do that shit nowdays since not only will some of the trades rape you if they've got an axe to grind but some rando can just record you being a twat and end your career
>>221410996Is that a reference to Christian Bale on the set of Terminator Salvation?
