Literally nothing changes if you remove those seasons and place S5 after the end of S2, aside from the baby being born and psycho Jamie Lee Curtis mellowing out. S5 was "good" purely because it trimmed all the fat of Carmy's boring gf, the increasingly bad celeb cameos, and had forward momentum, but it's also pushing the message of "it's about the people you work with guys" that was repeated ad nauseum in S3-4 so the overall feeling is flat
