This was surprisingly heartfelt by the end even though most of the movie felt cold and sterile. Any other horror/thriller kinos with the same feel?

i just watched this two days ago and it found it underwhelming, overrated and distinctly feminine in a negative way.

to be fair, i’m not a huge fan of thrillers in general. much moreso into horror so my expectations definitely skewed my experience. i recently watched brimstone and that whelmed me quite a bit.

This movie is basically the best adaptation of the comics mythos to cinema since Unbreakable (2000), but none of the "big brains" from Letterboxd noticed.

It's pretty fresh (the protagonist is a unique kind of weirdo doing a weird thing not really previously explored in cinema), tastefully shocking, and has some great cinematography.
I think it's worth a watch for anyone who doesn't straight up avoid thrillers.
