Think more deeply about it.Honestly this is a fair point, I don't disagree, but my family and I have contributed positively to this country since being here, whether that's through creating jobs/paying taxes etc. I would say that makes me an American, since we participated and were fortunate to succeed, and we thank the fellow whites that saw potential in us(aka hiring for top tier jobs, getting into good schools etc) I had an awesome counselor in high school, he was white and was the coolest mentor I ever had. I will never forget how he helped me, and I return the favor by helping out people at work and mentoring juniors myself. If that doesn't make me American then I don't know.
