Criminals arent as eloquent and witty in real life. Fun show definitely. I liked the Clooney movie with j.lo.

First season is fun but an altogether different thing since it's almost entirely procedural.Season 2 is high kino with a great villain, good character development.Season 3 is a step down but still fun.Season 4 is about even with Season 2, depending on who you ask.Season 5 kind of sucks IMO, awful boring sideplots/POVs and a terrible villain. Michael Rappaport trying to be a tough hillbilly is fucking miserable to both the eyes and ears.Season 6 is alright, feels a bit superfluous but wraps things up.

people talk about powering through season one but as an episode of the week show it's still incredibly strong and entertaining. on rewatching a lot of the episodes are my favourites.

The show is elevated above others regardless of that aspect because of the character writing though, which was still plenty strong in season 1. I'm not sure there is a single character, main or side, who doesn't have a great line every episode throughout all seasons.
