Reminder that toy boy don't care if some fag is spamming a thread full of tourists they don't want to talk to anyway. They pretty much made the fun around here so they're not pressed. They can start it up again if I want to but their interests have shifted for now. get a life or something idk

The Ship is such a weird DS9 episode. The premise is excellent, and the episode starts decently enough but it falls apart as soon as they get trapped on the titular ship. From there it feels like a script for another show badly adapted to fit DS9.Half the run time is spent watching the hispanic stereotype bleed to death, while our characters act like different people. O'Brien somehow gets saddled with fixing the ship and keeping the goldshirt alive, while Dax and Worf act like retards. I don't even remember what Sisko did besides be sweaty and trade barbs with the Vorta.Dax actually accomplishes nothing during the episode, she doesn't even help O'Brien get anything working despite being the science officer and being shown helping O'Brien work on technical shit all the time before. Worf is out of control. I remember Worf being devastated in TNG when people under his command got rekt and that is totally absent here. The papa bear from TNG is dead and buried. Here he acts like a fucking psycho, demanding the spic be killed and otherwise chimping out most of the run time.Somehow the Dominion are more retarded. Why did they give up on beaming Jem'Hadar into the ship? They could have easily overwhelmed the crew if they just kept beaming in. Giving up after one guy is ridiculous. It's also by far the safer option to extract the founder compared to bombarding the fucking ship with artillery.Having all the Jem'Hadar kill themselves offscreen so that our crew could escape was lazy and anti-climatic, and having Sisko and the Vorta just ham handedly spell out the episode theme of trust afterwards almost made my eyes roll out of my head.I liked how the writers even forgot the foundational Klingon lore that they don't give a shit about people's remains, all so Worf and O'Brien could have a sad scene together at the end.
>>221482739yet another episode where we get the idea of the Vorta as a decadent and noble species.
>>221482739Vorta are simply not good at their jobs. every single one in the show except for Weyoun 5 is highly ineffective at anything they're trying to do, and even he doesn't do the best all the time. they're just doing their best but honestly they don't have the intelligence or social skills or charisma or whatever it is that would be needed to accomplish the tasks given to them as diplomats or spies or whatever.
I just saw an ABC news report by Aaron Katerski about the couple who scaled the Empire State Building. I was surprised how much he looks like Leonard Nimoy.
>>221482739The vorta actress here also played the imitation Janeway in Live Fast and Prosper
>>221483861She also made my penis hard
Imagine a TNG episode where the ship is going through a cloudy nebula where it causes the crew to be eepy and they all need to get warm milk (vegan) and use extra covers.
>>221483962I don't understand the warm milk thing. like if you make it into a drink, add some cinnamon and honey or spices or something, sure. but how is just warmed up milk something nice to have?
>>221483994warm drinks are comfy. imagine a hot chocolate during a snowy day.
>>221484112yeah that's my point, hot chocolate is warm milk flavored with cocoa. that's yummy. without the cocoa I don't wanted to drink that.
>>221484242Are you a teenager? Usually teens avoid milk because they think of it as baby food, and think that by avoiding it, they are demonstrating how "grown up" they are. Lol.
>>221484242I never drank warm milk on its own. Usually I mix it with stuff. But the warmth it self is pleasing. I assume that's the allure of warm milk. The warmth.

Is there any evidence for or against the idea that B'Elanna went to the academy with Data? The way she talks about him in Prototype gives me the vibe she knows him personally.
>>221485181Yes. In the episode where Data is chosen to captain a ship to stop the Romulan blockade, he reveals that he has served in Starfleet for 26 years at that time. B'Elanna is not anywhere near old enough to be an academy friend of Data's. He could've gone to the academy with her mother.
>>221485242Right, I was misremembering that as him just being active for around 30 years. I've always thought it was stupid that he was written like he was born yesterday when he has that much experience.
>>221485363It was just a bad choice to give him such a long career. I mean 26 years? He's probably been in longer than Picard
>>221479701Trip should have gone for it here
