Dare i say, best actor of his generation?
Bugonia was better than everything else at the oscars this year
too one note, for me it's patty
>>221479821i wonder how he didn't get selected for Male Actor Oscar, he was great in that movie
>>221479794he's up there but needs to show more range. I'd say Pattinson and maybe Paul Mescal are better. issue with Mescal is he's gone full fag and seems to only do queerbait garbage. I actually watched All of Us Strangers. it wasn't even that bad but it was just so eyeroll worthy. le trauma le repressed urges le tragic ghost story. fuck offI also think LaKeith Stanfield is a dark horse but we just haven't seen enough of him. he's great in everything I've seen him in though
>>221479829Everyone says this because he plays a lot of eccentric evil characters but his role in Fargo and Power of the Dog shows his range
>>221479794Is Dano in his generation? If not, i agree
he was rubbish in Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
>>221479794Definitely my favorite.
>>221480702i would say so, and i agree. In terms of this generation:1. Dano2. Plemmons3. Shia
>>221479794Here are some actors within 5 years of him ie in his generationMichael B JordanNicholas HoultLakeith StanfieldRobert PattinsonAustin ButlerDaniel KaluuyaJosh O'ConnorI think he belongs with them, but I wouldnt call Jesse the best either
>>221481463Josh O’Connor and Patz are the only people worth anything in this list
>>221479794Ozempic Meth Damon sucks.
>>221479878Pattinson is a surprisingly good actor, but unfortunately most of the movies he stars in are complete shit.>>221480903>Shia Trys way too hard. He comes off like Daniel Day Lewis or Jared Leto with the forced overacting. Basically everyone that does "method acting" is a terrible actor.
>>221479821I just watched this for the first time, and it's great
>>221481463all of those except maybe pattinson are shit thoughever
>>221479794>>221479829They’re the top two
>>221479794Hey, that's my country in the back there
>>221479794Yeah probably.
>>221480702>>221480903too classic desu
>>221479794There's no such thing as acting in Hollywood. Every single actor bar 2 just play themselves and everyone accepts it.This guy is always that kind of, low emotion, a bit dull, character. He was like that in breaking bad, in civil war and bugonia. He's alright but just recognise that he's simply the same person in every damn film. Just like Tom Hanks, nic cage, arnie, stallone, Bruce Willis, jenne ortega, Henry cavill etc etc
>>221483420Does acting exist outside of Hollywood? I've seen several French films from the 60s and newer Korean films and it seems almost every actor always plays themselves regardless of country or era. I think Philip Seymour Hoffman was pretty good. He did different slight mannerisms for most roles that made it feel like you're watching a real person and not an actor playing a character.
>>221483152You replied to two people with two wrong and bad opinions. Impressive
>>221479794Ya know what... sure. No qualms
>>221479794Great in support roles, Bugonia is too self-conscious capital A. We still have no successor to PSH.
>>221484053For me it's Brad Dourif who's retired I guess
>>221479794I want to see him in a serious business/law/political movie wearing a suit and acting normal.
>>221479794he’s so good in fargo
