I remember reading about tuberculosis patients way back in the day, like 150 years ago. They didn't have antibiotics or any other decent medicine. Doctors just told them to move to somewhere with really dry air, like the desert of Arizona. The dry air will help their lungs clear enough to live for a couple more years.
