since the gaming industry has officially stopped producing discs, do you think the movie industry will do the same?
Is this the end of DVDs and Blu-rays?
Also I just realised that Blu-ray players will be even more expensive now since there will be no console alternative

i feel like there will always be a market for physical media for video and audio but since its becoming more of a niche enthusiast market they will be more expensive.

No? But still, flash drives give a tough competition. Optical discs are still produces because they're durable, can last even 50 years and more.
