There are cameras covering every angle and the instigators will absolutely be sent to solitary if they hurt you and brought up on assault charges and get time added to their bit. In my country all the gangs are segregated from gen pop so either way it would absolutely not be a problem. >>221559024Depends what kind of prison. minimum-medium security prisons usually just have drug offenders that are non-violent so you might get in a fight or two but you can just keep your head down and be alright. Maximum security prison is where they send the violent offenders and there are some that don't have a huge gang problem, but some do and you 100% have to join a gang or you will be dead or moved to PC. These few prisons with big gang problems are the ones Hollywood tends to focus on but in real life most prisons are pretty chill
