Tomatoes really don't get their proper flavor until they're cooked in some way. I love roasted tomatoes. They're good with just about anything. They've got that umami of sun dried tomatoes while still being nice and juicy.

Tomatoes are notorious for being bad fruits to buy in a supermarket. Compared to home grown or farmer's market tomatoes, they're usually very bland and mealy, when they should be quite sweet, juicy, and full of flavor. I grew sungold cherry tomatoes last year and it was like eating little tangerines
>>
Hot damn, this movie is perfect. Literally flawless, fantastic entertainment.
>>
>>221565217
Generally, avoid hothouse or roma/plum tomatoes especially when they're not in season. I get a lot of tomatoes from CostCo and they're usually really good, Especially the cherry ones and tomatoes still on the vine They also last longer when you keep them on the vine.

Yeah, he grew them, so they were probably better than the store ones. But they were just regular "slicing tomatoes," is apparently what they're called.
>>
I like to get a package of cocktail tomatoes from kroger, slice them in half, toss them in olive oil and S&P, and put two heads of garlic with their tops cut off with them, then put all that in a baking dish and roast them for about an hour. Then I squeeze the garlic bulbs out of the skins into a mason jar with the roast tomatoes and hit them with a stick blender. It makes a great little sauce to go in any dish or for dipping. I put it in mexican rice or as a dip for fried potatoes or fish.

>Wrath of the Gods is the third movie in the Wicker Man trilogy directed by Justin Hardy which follows a grieving widow returning to her native island of Hel where a bunch of kids are going missing

What's going to be the plot twist in this one? First movie it was the cop was the sacrifice the entire time. In the second one we learn the villagers poisoned themselves and became cannibals in hopes of regaining their fertility

Since it's child sacrificed I'm thinking Baal or Moloch related?

Just finished. This director's movies are so weird, they're heavily focused on sexual politics and scenes in this flirt with what would become his full on video essay style in Scissor Penis. There's not much to like here, until the extended softcore lesbian sequence between two female soldiers, that was good. I'll get through all five eventually. This one has a killer female sex robot.

We're at the point that I mostly want international or 70s-90s movies and she wants to show me early 2000s so its not easy to pick all the time. If I worked all day or night it would probably be 1
movie max, usually if it's a night I just watch a casual show like South Park since I get back at almost midnight.

It's a good shortish horror movie, but I think it's cheating to include it for 2026. Original release date is what should matter, exceptions if it was festival only and got a real release a following year.

Based Mark.
>Trandemic directed by Vera Drew
>Described as a “cosmic found footage horror-comedy.”
For the chuds that don't know, Drew directed and starred in The People's Joker. It's the movie where planned screenings of it at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2022 were canceled to "rights issues." The movie did get a wider release and it's actually on Tubi now. She was also editor for Alice Maio Mackay's Carnage for Christmas and The Serpent's Skin.
