It's just one monologue bro, and it was a good monologue by based David Hewlett

It's a great movie. Has David Hewlett in it.

The characters and overall dilemma are clearly modeled on Alien:

-The immediate threat is named as a single, singular word in the title, but the true antagonist is an opaque organization that is never really seen in the film
-The characters have to move through ducts, chutes and corridors
-People die horribly
-principal cast of seven: two white women, four white guys, and one black guy

-One of the women is emotional, unstable and pretty much worthless. The other (a brunette) is a bit smarter and sort of rises to the occasion
-the black guy is loud and aggressive (a throwaway comparison I know, but still). At certain points the black guy is the most rational character but this passes
-one of the white guys has the sole function of just dying horribly, to establish the nature of the threat
-another white guy is cold and unemotional and no one likes him or trusts him. He turns out to have been concealing what he knows about the organization
-the oldest guy, also white, has some personality, but he doesn't last long and is the second to die
-This leaves the Dallas/Kazan comparision which really doesn't fit at all, except that Dallas is a bit dumb about certain things.

Legit one of my favorite movies. Cube 2 was mid and Cube 3 was a good prequel. I haven't seen Nip Cube but it's on my download list.

Spoiler the real Cube was all the friends they make along the way.
>>

Yeah it's kino
>>
Yep, it's kino.
Hypercube (The Cube 2) is also somewhat fine but you can be ok with pretending The Cube is a standalone movie instead of a trilogy. Avoid Cube 3 at all cost, like a plague.
>>
Kino and so is hypercube

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE opinion. Honestly the original isn't great to begin with (the mediocre acting is the main drawback, but you can get past this if you're interested), but the premise is the charm. The second flick is easily the worst of the bunch, with nothing at all worth liking. It's basically a shitty 90s sci-fi TV episode of some kind. The original is too, yes, but the second is worse.

The third flick is also skippable, but it does have one saving grace which this idiot >>221587458 has failed to mention. The guy who plays the villain has tons of fun with it and just goes ham at being "le evil guy". His performance deserves credit, although the overall film is pointless. His performance is the main thing that's fun to watch in the film.

As with so many franchises in this vein: just watch the original film if you're curious and don't bother with the rest.

>what if the police was le EVIL
>what if the elites le don't care about regular people (nevermind the fact that actors and directors are far closer to the elites than us regular people)
>what if the government built le secret prison (just like my heckin wholesome chungus conspiracy theories)
>what if a 13 year old is le smart math whiz
>what if a literal retard is le savant
Proto-wokeslop for pseuds.

kino, great low budg movie

Dammit, I thought it was the cube. Guess I don’t have to watch any of it now
>>
>>221584953
The only thing I remember about this was in that one of the sequels there were a pair of people having sex while spinning in antigravity and they somehow sex until they grow old or some shit. I don't know, the last time I watched it was decades ago.

Hypercube is fucking awful, but it's still enjoyable if you're okay with a "so bad it's good" movie.
>>
>>221584953
It's one of those "people are locked in a room and they die trying to escape" movies.
They're all the same.
