That reminds me. I was coachin' in Omaha in 1948 and Eddie Shore sends me this guy who was a terrible masturbator, you know, couldn't control himself. Why, he would get deliberate penalties so he could get over in the penalty box all by himself and damned if he wouldn't... you know...

Lots. Barbara Stanwyck made several classic comedies: Ball of Fire (pic), The Lady Eve, The Mad Miss Manton. Lady Eve was written and directed by Preston Sturges, so add Easy Living, Remember the Night, Hail the Conquering Hero, Miracle of Morgan's Creek, and Sullivan's Travels to the list. Bringing Up Baby, My Man Godfrey, His Girl Friday, Twentieth Century are all from the 1930s or early 1940s. Throw in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes with Marilyn even though it's a musical because it's also very funny - Some Like It Hot is also essential comedy viewing.

Dangerously based. For me its late night TV on MeTV for an hour of Hogan's Heroes and Perry Mason
