It feels like smoke and mirrors at this point. Almost 520k dislikes. Looking at 3 of the good theaters in my area, one having 70mm IMAX. All of the Dolby and IMAX showings are full through the week. The theater with the 70mm have added ridiculous times to it including 1:45am, 2:30am and early showings like 7:30 am and 11:20 am are full or it’s just the front row available. Now the flip side the regular showings which theaters might have 3-4 screens dedicated are wide open. You have maybe 15 seats taken, some less than 10. And the 70mm theater has regular screens available late night and early morning about 7 am and those are wide open. Is it possible for a film to do well only in large format or IMAX only screens?
