The main character is a depressed alcoholic obsessed with his estranged wife who stumbles into a strange third dimension where his surroundings are distorted projections of his own memories and trauma. He's eventually forced to confront his own ugly truth that he keeps suppressing. It's essentially Silent Hill 2 with a different coat of paint. There's even a Pyramid Head like monster stalking him and others.
