Why didn’t he try composing harder instead of seething and brooding and plotting all the time?

I would have been happy just banging Mozart's cute wife. You've won everything at that point.

He lacks the talent Mozart has.
>>
>>221588101
He needed to embrace the suffering and further develop from it by channeling his emotions into creative energy.
>>

leave him alone!
>>

He was trying hard

Watch the episode of the Simpsons with Frank Grimes. Salieri did everything he could to develop his skill and played by all the rules at court. Suddenly a guy shows up who hardly has to try in order to create masterpieces and, what's more, takes it all for granted.

It's basically the Frank Grimes episode of the Simpsons only Homer isn't gifted so he isn't actually squandering anything.

Sallieri reached the pinnacle of his career and then some kid barely old enough to shave comes along and surpasses him, easily, and treats the whole "composer" thing as a joke. I'd be livid too.

>some kid barely old enough to shave
He’s 25, anon
>>
>>221589002
>and treats the whole "composer" thing as a joke.
this is the real issue; egomania
>>
>>221589002
would you engage in psychological warfare to bring him down, though?
>>
>>221589018
Mozart composed his first piece when he was 5. He was already more famous than Sallieri when he was a child.
>>
>>221588101
Why didn’t he stop taking God’s greatest gift - life itself - for granted and start living it like Mozart did? God never asked Salieri to give him “chastity” to be a great composer.

Bingo.

You haven't interacted in creative spaces. There are people who will devote their time and energy to shooting you down instead of making anything of worth

I'm an artist, art world is hard, man
There's just people with talent that can barely try and get where you are just like that
It feels unfair because IT IS UNFAIR
Imagine if your job is hauling crates in the docks. You get paid 5 gold coins and you haul crates all week from sun to sun. Then comes superman one day, takes the spot next to you, and hauls all his crates from his month, in one go, takes his 5 gold coins, and you are there mid month still 2 more weeks to go.
Life is hard and unfair

Where to cop
>>
>>221590097
There's definitely artists that are effectively born with their talent, but you can hone your craft as well to achieve greatness. leonard cohen didn't make great stuff until his 30s
>>
>>221590448
You didn't get the point I was making
The unfairness is both people being paid 5 gold coins for the same work... but one takes 5 seconds to complete and the other one takes a month to complete

Leonard Cohen only has one good song.
