They really fucked me on that 2nd one. Court ordered therapy, 1 year probation, MADD. Failed probation and ended up just doing work release for 2.5 months instead of one more year probation.

It got higher for a while. Maybe like $200 a month for minimum coverage. Not too crazy, but my old insurance also stopped covering me for like 7 years. Back with them, last year i paid like a $400-$600 premium and $150 a month for minimal coverage. Recently paid roughly $400 premium and i now pay like $120 a month.
I live in a poorer state now than when i got my dui but it's apparently one of the most expensive states to insure in relative to cost of living and one of the most dangerous cities to drive in. A couple of them i went to traffic court for and they moved them down to non moving violation so they didnt have to waste their time on me and it didnt go on my insurance. Rural northern Canada here. Everyone drives home drunk. Not a single police on the roads up here outside of the main highways. Too rural, sparse and almost zero cars at night after the bar. Nice roads too.
