How much of this is based in reality? Larry and everybody he hangs around with are awful people.

That's the joke. Larry is awful, but everyone else is worse. Sometimes it can be funny. Sometimes not.

>jews are awful
yeah, no kidding
>>
Richard and funkhouser are good

the show lost its sanity after funk left. he played a very important character who didn’t need much screen time to make an impact.
>>
>>221627693
That's just what jews are like.

It's a documentary

Look at what those actors say and do in their real lives and you have your answer. Hateful Hollywood elitists.

Larry is better than 90% of the people he hangs with, even with that when he gets to people like Seth ROgen in the later seasons they're even much worse, Curb was better as a hollywood couple mingling with other successful LA types but the Larry bachelor nig friend simulator lost all sense of reality, before that it was more relevant to Larrys real life

yeah but you guys seems like righteous people

for anyone who wants more curb watch Larrys new show, its a bunch of american history vignettes and only one of them is really chud trigger fuel, thus far its only got a couple eps. I'd say it might even be better than last season of curb but I also love history

I think the events surrounding the characters are probably real as in they happened (ie he made a bad joke to a black dentist about affirmative action when he was just trying to be folksy), but his character is how he would've wanted the situations to play out if he didn't give a fuck, and the other characters are deliberately played up, if that makes sense

Is the rich hollywood life really like in this show?

>constantly get invited to shitty events and boring dinner parties
>you're an asshole if you don't show up

I'd rather move to Thailand.

staying relevant in hollywood is all about keeping up appearances and showing off. if someone doesnt turn up to your gay party its a personal insult because a) they're depriving you of your opportunity to network and b) you can't show off your expensive shit to them

I learned in 6th grade that if someone invites you to a party and dont go without having a good excuse the person who invited you will be offended
