An actor that stay with it to the end can't. 3. Being a genuine star is fucking hard and it takes a lot of luck. They all had tries, shit just didn't stick and going back to 1. why keep trying when you're already rich and famous. Bonus 4. The women cast are 30+ when the show ended, which is a fucking death sentence in Hollywood.
Interestingly it's the actors of characters that got killed off early on that have easily had the best careers. Presumably because they got a head start being free of the show and don't have the stigma of being involved with the ending.

Pedro and Jason had amazing careers and touched A list status. The rest have had pretty solid careers. Good TV work, indie movies and the occasional franchise (often time not working out) but still a failed franchise is still a pretty huge deal for an actor. Lots of bit players ended up making pretty good work as character actorsI think the only disappointments are probably Cersei, Arya and Jaime.
