Ironborn have suspiciously Valyrian sounding names. Hightowers and Daynes have suspicious Valyrian features. The ancestors of the Hightowers slew the original dragons that roosted on the foundations of the Hightower. The Grey King slew Nagga the sea dragon and ditched the Seastone chair.For all the claims about Hightowers and Daynes and such originally being dragon riders, it seems to me that they hated dragons right from the beginning. If I had to guess, the Valyrians beat back the invaders from the sea the same way the ancestors of the Hightowers and the Grey King did, then took their magic for themselves, like the Grey King did.
