Why are there so many 8 episode dramas now?

That said, dramas from the TV networks are still generally between 10-16 eps (excluding weekend/daily/special dramas). If it's 8 eps, it's probably coming from Netflix, Disney+, etc.

And real kdramas slowly get squeezed out of existence.
