>>221759111I think they have a definite purpose as conjured bodies for the greenseers that have been wedded to the weirwood trees. Think of Stannis' shadow that was conjured by Melisandre but instead conjured using the bloody sacrifices made to the weirwoods. Their goal is probably turning all of Westeros back into the old ways with a new order in place focused around creating new greenseers so they can eventually consume all remaining life into the Weirwood hivemind. I think this will be revealed early on in WoW with Bloodraven creating his own conjured body with a blood sacrifice and trying to teach Bran to do the same, at which point he will flee horrified and we'll get the hold the door moment.
