There's actual world building, the xeno isn't the most interesting alien in the story, the allegories to Pan are a little heavy-handed, but yes, it's good. As an actual Hitler worshipping National Socialist, this show was pretty good / great. It simply has a rainbow coalition of cast, it never really tries to shove actual leftist ideology in your face besides that.Aside from that, the main plot just kinda hinges on some weak mechanics that break down upon critical thinking. If you're starved for high production value, hard sci-fi / horror, this show is great. I think even the haters admit the bottle episode that takes place entirely in the space ship itself is great. It's just a garbage show, one of the worst in recent years (decades?). You could take the xeno out of it and swap in some generic space monster (like the many extra ones they have in the show) and it would still be the same exact show and it would still be utter garbage all the same.>It's gotten great reviews. Just watch episode 5 and if you really really want to watch episode 1 after. These 2 epsiodes are the most faithful to the Alien series in tone and content.Chronologically 5 comes before 1 and since episode one begins the moment episode 5 ends you get a nice 90 minute made for tv alien "movie" out of it with some sequel bait at the end.
