Part of the problem is that “movie stars” suck dick in general. Back in the day you had “character actors” or British stage actors who would be all over this thing. Nolan wants to be Ridley Scott but Ridley knew how to cast his films. Look at Oliver Reed in Gladiator. If you liked Anne Hathaways monologue about love in Interstellar, there are about 10 moments like that in this film, including from Hathaway herself. Poor Robert Pattinson is left hamming it up in every movie bc Hollywood is giving him nothing to work with in these dull pieces of crap
