You can pretty much ignore everyone's opinion, whose opinion mostly consists of pandering - there is always a new issue to pander upon, to dish out. It is an endless feedback loop of inaction and ignoring root problems, that self replicates through the usual pathways of book sales, stream/video views, likes/retweets etc. Then when other normies see that pandering gets them some merit they replicate and on and on and on it goes.
