And literally the only thing Odysseus says to convince her to turn them back is "They just want to go home, let them." That's fucking it.It's so blatantly obvious that the scene was crafted to deliver that real brainbuster of a speech of "oh pigs are their TRUE form, men are the disguise!". But at the same time, they didn't want to make Odysseus' guys look evil to give her cause for it because hey, you still have to root for them right? So they made the men as inoffensive as possible, and there's a huge dissonance here because of it.
